I started construction on my layout room in the fall of 2005. I've set aside a 13'x40' room in the basement. I finished construction on the layout room in the spring of 2006. Bench work construction started soon after that. I decided to get the worst part of the bench work construction out of the way up front. I built the helix between the upper and lower levels in the summer of 2006. I'm now working on the lower level. The lower level of the layout will represent the section of the RGS from Placerville to Durango. The Telluride branch will be prominently featured. Ophir and points south will be represented by a hidden return loop with 2 tracks.
